Chinese IV 中文四 Course Description
Chinese Level IV is considered an advanced Chinese language course. This course will challenge students to build up a more complex vocabulary, focus on important linguistic grammar structures and continue to make complex phrases and sentences. The goal of this course is to deepen students' immersion into the language and culture of the Chinese-speaking world. The course engages students in an exploration of both contemporary and historical Chinese culture. The students will be able to write Chinese sentences and essays, participate in fluent Chinese conversations, and read short Chinese stories with confidence. This course prepares students to demonstrate their level of Chinese proficiency across the three communicative modes: interpersonal, interpretative, and presentational.
